Four things decide whether a pooja works
Temple, day, tithi and sankalp. Kaal Sarp Shanti belongs at Trimbakeshwar, Kalahasti or Ujjain, not any convenient hall. Shani remedies belong on Saturday, Mangal Shanti on Tuesday, Pitra Dosh rites on Amavasya or during Pitru Paksha.
The sankalp must carry your name, Gotra and Nakshatra. A pooja performed correctly but without a proper sankalp in your name is a ritual someone else received, and that single omission is the most common reason people feel nothing changed.
What a genuine remedy should cost
Published, commonly paid ranges: Kaal Sarp Shanti at Trimbakeshwar ₹10,000 to ₹18,000 (~$120–$217). Mangal Shanti ₹3,000 to ₹8,000 (~$36–$96). Pitra Dosh at Gaya ₹6,000 to ₹15,000 (~$72–$181). Shani Shanti and Rahu-Ketu Shanti fall between ₹4,000 to ₹12,000 (~$48–$145) depending on the temple and number of Vedic astrologers.
Anything far above these is upselling, and any remedy sold with urgency, fear of death, or a claim to erase a dosha permanently should be refused. A dosha cannot be deleted from a chart, its intensity can be reduced.
Online pooja and what to expect afterwards
An online pooja with live darshan, your sankalp read aloud, and qualified Vedic astrologers at the correct temple is treated as astrologically equivalent to attending in person. Ask for the recording, the Vedic astrologer's name, and prasad dispatch before paying.
Felt shifts usually appear over one to three months, and most clearly at the next Antardasha change. Remedies work best paired with the daily practice prescribed for the planet, mantra count, weekday fast or charity, rather than treated as a one-time transaction.
